I don't think I posted them here, but a couple of weeks ago I made some earrings with little paintings. Well, I got my shipment of 40 pendants last week (WOOOO!). Instead of painting on paper and gluing it down (the paper absorbed the resin and darkened the colors), I coating the inside of the pendants with gesso and painted directly on them.
The first set: Everything went all right until I looked at the dried pendants; the pencil I use to sketch the paintings is dark, so I didn't realize there were gaps in the paint until I poured the resin. I was extremely annoyed, because the gaps only showed up on my favorite designs. Grrr.
Second set: This time I checked every piece VERY CAREFULLY before pouring the resin. The results were much, much better.
These need resin, but the paintings are complete:
The alien girl is my favorite. Love her!
And this is a size reference:
I have ideas for most of my unfinished pieces, but I'm kinda stuck with the last few. Is there any sort of design you guys would like to see? I'm open to almost anything.
