(no subject)
Hello! I am new here at DW, so I'll introduced myself with two of my favorite paintings:
Click on the images to see a larger version.
Both are gouache & pen on rice paper. They were done at a workshop, but I think they look finished as they are.

Very nice! I especially like the second's use of the pen as an outline method and the contrast of shadow and light on the figure's right side.
How well does rice paper hold up? I've never tried it.

Better than I expected. I used a lot of water that night, and I never felt like I was about to rip it.
If you're going to use rice paper, get the type used for calligraphy and ink paintings.

They're both great though I really love the lines and curves of the second one.

I love these - nice sense of movement and character. The colours on the second one are standing out particularly well!

I really like your style. :D All the colors you worked into the woman's skin on the second piece are lovely. I also enjoy the loose quality of these.

I really love the colors in both of these. The second's lines are just fantastic.
