10 x 8" oil on canvas. This is what I've been doing today.  Probably will make a few more tweaks to it, but right now I'm pretty happy.

I lucked out; I got a fantastic photo of her to work from. Her expression was stunning.

I print photos and use a grid to get the initial drawing accurate, which saves me some time, but the fine work is still very time consuming.

I sure wish. Nope, Upside Hound is Indiana. This girl's name was Hanah, and she got in an accident and died not long after I met her. Utterly devastated her owner. :-(

Aw, ears!

Greyhound ears are SO FREAKING HARD TO PAINT. They fold in all kinds of weird ways. Fortunately the cuteness makes up for it.
